John Kyte

Strategic Director

John Kyte specializes in issues and crisis management, government relations, corporate reputation and media relations. A former news reporter, lobbyist and lawyer, he has more than thirty years of experience assisting corporations, associations and clients in managing difficult, often controversial, issues with public, state and federal government entities and the media.

Mr. Kyte has a background in energy, electric utilities and environmental issues, and has provided crisis management, corporate reputation and government relations services to companies and clients involved in facility siting, power plant operations and regulation, community relations and ally development, litigation and bankruptcy proceedings.

Prior to serving 16 years as a Managing Director at a major global communications agency and its government relations subsidiary, Mr. Kyte practiced energy and environmental law and regulation in Washington, D.C., specializing in congressional and government agency affairs, and media strategy. He also served for two years as Director of Environmental Quality for the National Association of Manufacturers, as Vice President, Legislative Affairs, for The New England Council, Inc., and as Public Information Manager for New Hampshire Yankee, acting as spokesman, media relations manager, emergency planner and federal lobbyist for the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant.

Mr. Kyte received his Juris Doctor degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and his Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Keene (NH) State College. He is admitted to the bar in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
