The Best Practices Project has an Advisory Board that meets quarterly (via conference call) to share both status of the project and to be advised on industry needs in order to continuously focus on the most valuable contributions to utility cyber-practitioners. Between meetings, Advisory Board members communicate via email and remain cognizant of the project goals, and the need to keep focused.
More than 1,000 companies sell cybersecurity products to electric utilities in the U.S. and Canada. This project is designed to organize and evaluate these vendors, and their products and services, to make it easier for utility companies to make informed decisions on products that meet their specific cybersecurity needs.
