Nathaniel Woodson

Nathaniel Woodson is a nationally recognized electric energy expert. He served as Chief Executive Officer of UIL Holdings, a Connecticut-based public utility. Prior to UIL he was President of the Energy Systems Business unit of Westinghouse Electric Corp, the leading global supplier to the commercial nuclear power industry.
Mr. Woodson most recently the Chairman of First Niagara Bank, from which he retired upon its merger with KeyBank in 2016. Previously he was a Director of NewAlliance Bancshares, Inc.
Mr. Woodson is an active investor in several entrepreneurial ventures.
In his community activity, Mr. Woodson had served as Member of Governor’s Council on Competitiveness and Technology and Chairman of Regional Leadership Council and Regional Growth Partnership in Connecticut’s vocational high school system. He co-chaired the task force to redesign Connecticut’s vocational high school system. He was a recipient of the Connecticut Anti-Defamation League’s highest honor, the torch of Liberty Award and the Elm and Ivy award, from Yale and the City of New Haven.
Mr. Woodson attended Yale (BE), MIT (MS),UPitt (MBA) and Harvard (AMP).
